Choithram Hospital

Thirty-two years ago, at a time when government medical colleges were the sole institutions for medical education, Choithram Hospital and Research Centre pioneered the concept of establishing an academic health care center, the first of its kind in Central India. This innovative approach integrates teaching, research, and healthcare to deliver the highest standard of clinical care. By incorporating cutting-edge technologies, resources, and therapies not commonly available in community hospitals, we strive to provide unparalleled medical services.

Recognizing the significance of academic achievement in career advancement, Choithram Hospital and Research Centre launched DNB courses in 1990, offering postgraduate degree programs. To date, our hospital has received accreditation for 11 DNB courses, further solidifying our commitment to academic excellence and professional growth.

At Choithram Hospital, we host research-focused basic and clinical departments at the forefront of medical science. Our academic and clinical teams consist of consultants spanning diverse disciplines. Through collaborative research, interdisciplinary programs, and comprehensive patient care services, we contribute to all ten academic departments offering broad specialty, super specialty, and postgraduate DNB courses.

Academically successful doctors are well-positioned for employment opportunities, holding significant roles in both government and private institutions nationally and internationally. Some have even established reputable nursing homes, serving the community as renowned clinical practitioners.

Following the completion of their Postgraduate DNB degree, many students pursue superspecialty training or fellowships in various disciplines.

Since 2003, undergraduate dental students from Rau Dental College have received training in medicine and surgery at Choithram Hospital. Additionally, the hospital serves as the examination center for BDS students’ practical exams in surgery and treatment.
