Biography

Dr. C.S. Chamania, Head of the Department, has been an integral part of Choithram Hospital and Research Centre for 45 years, rising from a Post PG Resident to the esteemed position of Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of General Surgery. With expertise in Portal Hypertension, they've performed over 125 porta systemic shunts and conducted more than 1500 successful Kidney transplants. Their proficiency also extends to Hepatobiliary pancreatic Surgery, including hepatic resections, making them a cornerstone of surgical excellence at the hospital.
