Dr. Ajay Kumar Jain has completed his Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery (MBBS) in year 1985 and MD in General Medicine in year 1988. He then completed his Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Gastroenterology in year 1993 and DNB in Gastroenterology in year 1994

 (A) Passed Higher Secondary Examination from Board of Secondary Education   Bhopal (M.P.) in 1977, securing  75% marks.

 (B) Passed Intermediate Examination from Uttar Pradesh Board     Allahabad  (U.P.) in 1978 securing 66%  marks.

 (A) M.B.B.S.:   M.G.M. Medical College and University of  Indore, in 1984 passing all subjects in first attempt .

Hospital.  A Major teaching Hospital of University of  Indore.  During the residency submitted thesis titled “A Study of Serum  Fructosamine in Diabetes Mellitus.At the end of successful completion of residency passed M.D. Medicine Examination (Equivalent to Internal  Medicine Board ) in first attempt in  December 1998 .

 (B)  From January 1989 to December 1989:

As Registrar   Dept. of Medicine,(After passing Medicine Board) in Choithram Hospital and Research Centre  Indore  (M.P.).

As Senior Resident   (D. M. Resident),Dept. of Gastroenterology, G. B. Pant   Hospital, Major University Hospital of New Delhi. At the end of two years in June 1993 passed successfully D.M. Gastroenterology-examination (Gastroenterology Board) conducted by University in first attempt. In November 1994,  also passed the DNB Gastroenterology Board Examinations, in first  attempt  conducted  by National Board of Examination New- Delhi.

Worked as Senior Research Associate, Dept. of Gastroenterology, G.B. Pant Hospital, New- Delhi. It’s a major university teaching hospital.

2. September 1995 to September 1996:

Dept of Medicine at RML Hospital New Delhi. It’s a major secondary care referral hospital in the capital city of India.

3. From September 1996 to May 2006:

Worked as Consultant in Dept. of Gastroenterology Choithram Hospital and Research Centre,  Indore  (M.P.). It’s a tertiary care referral centre. My major areas of interests are Chronic viral infections of liver, ALD, Malignant  Biliary diseases, 

4. From May 2006 till date : 

Working as Sr. Consultant and Head, Dept of Gastroenterology Choithram Hospital and Research Centre, Indore (M.P.). It’s a tertiary care referral centre. My major areas of interests are Chronic viral infections of liver, Alcoholic liver disease, Malignant  Biliary diseases, Inflammatory Bowel diseases.
