Liver Transplant Services
Liver transplant is a life saving operation that replaces a diseased and poorly functioning liver with either whole or portion of a healthy liver. Liver transplantation has become a well recognised treatment option for patients suffering from liver failure. At Choithram Hospital and Research Centre, the cadaveric liver transplant programme is successful with minimal cost to the patient. The team of experts at CHRC treats and supports the patients of end stage liver disease including pre-transplant and post-transplant care, as we have liver transplant dedicated team of Surgeons, Hepatologist, Anaesthetist, Intensivist, transplant coordinator and dedicated operation theatre & liver transplant ICU.
Our department now serves as a regional centre for liver transplantation in the central India, where several successful transplants have been performed. We hope that our initiatives for cadaveric organ donation will take shape in the near future enabling us to transplant more and more patients with end-stage liver disease. It is our aim to perform Living donor liver transplant (LDLT) in upcoming future.
