A Legacy of Care Since 1979
The journey of Choithram Hospital & Research Centre began with a single step towards a noble vision – a vision of providing exemplary healthcare services to the community. Established on July 16, 1979, under the aegis of Choithram Charitable Trust by our Founder Late Pujya Shree Thakurdas Choithram Pagarani, our institution has since been a beacon of hope and healing for the people of Indore and beyond.
Foundation and Early Growth
The roots of our commitment to healthcare trace back to the establishment of Choithram Charitable Trust on December 29, 1970. With the inauguration of Choithram Dispensary in November 1972, the Trust laid the groundwork for accessible medical care, offering free OPD services and medication to those in need.
In 1979, Choithram Hospital emerged as an extension of this philanthropic endeavor, embodying the Trust’s dedication to serving the community. Since its inception, the hospital has been a pioneer in healthcare advancements, continually striving to meet the evolving needs of patients.
Expansion and Innovation
As the demand for quality healthcare grew, Choithram Hospital embarked on a journey of expansion and innovation:
• Infrastructure: From humble beginnings with 110 beds, the hospital has expanded to accommodate 350 beds, catering to the rising healthcare needs of the region.
• Facilities: Continuous upgrades, including modern laundry facilities and expanded canteen services, reflect our commitment to patient comfort and convenience.
• Education: The addition of student nurses hostels underscores our dedication to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Upholding a Legacy of Excellence
Throughout our journey, Choithram Hospital has remained steadfast in upholding the values of compassion, integrity, and excellence. Our legacy of care continues to inspire us as we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and the community we serve.
