Dr.Vikas Asati has completed his Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery (MBBS) in year 2011 and MD in General Medicine from Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Indore in year 2014. He then completed his Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Medical Oncology from Kidwai Cancer Institute, Bengaluru in year 2018. 

Technical Skills  

  1. Treatment and counselling of patients receiving systemic therapies for solid and haematological malignancies: Chemotherapy, Hormonal therapies, biological therapies, Targeted Therapy, Immunotherapy.  
  2. Prescribe and administer Chemotherapy, biological therapy, Immunotherapy, Targeted therapy.  
  3. Diagnose and manage side effects of anti-cancer treatments.  
  4. Perform central line insertion, PICC line insertion, Bone Marrow aspiration and biopsy, lumbar puncture and intrathecal drug administration.  
  5. Perform image-guided tru-cut biopsies, FNAC’s, pleural and peritoneal paracentesis.  
  6. Diagnose and manage medical and oncological emergencies.
  7. Autologous stem-cell transplant for Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma. 
  8. Induction and consolidation chemotherapies for ALL/AML.  
  9. Management of malignancies in patients with HIV/AIDS.  
  10. Participate and contribute in a Multidisciplinary clinic.
